SF2A's Executive Director Recognized by the NRA's, America's 1st Freedom Magazine
Students for the Second Amendment's Executive Director, Damaso Torres was recognized with an Honorable Mention for America's 1st Freedom Magazine, Member of the Year.
Torres, a finalist in the selection process, was one of four individuals from across the country awarded an honorable mention for his dedication to preserving the Second Amendment.

Each year, America's 1st Freedom's editorial board selects deserving Second Amendment activists to recognize for their efforts. The Member of the Year for 2003 is Mr. Jack First of Rapid City, SD.
Torres said he was completely surprised by the award. "I am honored to even be considered by the [ 1st Freedom Editorial Board]. I'm really blown away by this.," he said.
An announcement regarding the award appeared on page 28 in the May 2003 issue of America's 1st Freedom Magazine.

" Damaso Torres, San Antonio, Texas, a senior at St. Mary's University majoring in International Relations, is the founder and executive director of Students for the Second Amendment, which has expanded onto over 17 college campuses. Damaso Torres was recently appointed the Election Volunteer Coordinator for Texas' 20th Congressional District, by the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action.
