honored with major award at
2003 Gun Rights Policy Conference


SF2A Executive Director, Damaso Torres accepts the award from Second Amendment Foundation President Joseph Tartaro and Joe Waldron, Executive Director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Students for the Second Amendment was honored with the Grassroots Organization of the Year Award presented jointy by The Second Amendment Foundation and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

SF2A Executive Director, Damaso Torres accepted the award on behalf of Students for the Second Amendment at the 2003 Gun Rights Policy Conference held in Houston, Texas, September 26 , 27 & 28.


Texas Land Commissioner and SF2A Advisory Board Member, Jerry Patterson stopped by the Students for the Second Amendment information table.

Over five hundred grassroots activists from all over the country attended the 2003 Gun Rights Policy Conference in Houston, Texas. The theme for the 2003 GRPC was: "Gun Rights = Freedom.”

The annual Gun Rights Policy Conference is a tremendous networking opportunity for pro-freedom individuals and organizations. Registration is free.

GRPC 2003 featured panel discussions and speakers on a wide variety of crucial topics including: Legal Battles, Gun Rights in the 2004 Presidential and Congressional races, Expanding Right to Carry laws and Reciprocity, Federal State and Local updates, and other gun rights battles.

Notable speakers included Dr. John R. Lott, Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, NRA EVP Wayne LaPierre, SAF President Joseph Tartaro, and NRA Board Member Sue King among many others.
